If you know the basics, maybe set up your own loom and woven some patterns or have never done any weaving before and would love to have a go. This two day course will take you through the whole process of winding a warp and dressing a loom to weaving cloth. Jan will provide you with all the tips, tricks and techniques to ease your path into weaving.

The workshop will take place at The Eskdale Hotel, Langholm, please see below a brief outline of events:

Saturday

10am - Meet at The Eskdale Hotel, refreshments and introductions.

10:30am - Get started! Jan will guide you through the 'Dressing of the Loom' process

12:30pm (approx) - Lunch will be served.

4pm - First session ends (check in at Hotel)

Option for a walk around Langholm, short walk guides will be available.

6:30pm (approx) - Dinner at The Eskdale Hotel - Set menu

Sunday

8-9:30am - Breakfast is served (checkout)

10am - session starts

12:30pm (approx) - Lunch will be served.

4pm - Workshop ends

Optional visit to Yarns to Yearn for after workshop ends.

The workshop fee is inclusive of all meals eaten at The Eskdale Hotel, tea, coffee and refreshments. Dinner menu is a set menu or cost up to £30. Alcoholic drinks not included.

Materials for weaving are also included.
