Experimenting with Geli Print on textiles with Deborah Campbell

  • Eskdale Hotel Langholm, Scotland, DG13 0JH United Kingdom (map)

Using a Geli plate, roller and acrylic paint you will experiment with a variety of techniques to create layered prints onto different thicknesses of fabric.

You will be asked to bring along pressed leaves and grasses which will be used with found relief like bubble wrap, embossed wallpaper and lace to help you explore new ideas in colour, texture and shape.

You will then look at different methods of layering, tearing and manipulating the fabrics, which you will combine using machine and hand embroidery, to create a fine art textile.

This workshop is suitable for all levels including beginners. If you’re looking for inspiration and new ways to direct your work, this is the ideal course. It’s full of fun and playful creativity and I will be there to support and guide you through the process.

Lunch is included - please state whether you have a dietary requirements.
