Introducing this exciting two day workshop with Tarras Valley Nature `Reserve and Karen Auld from Stitch Narrative!

Joining nature and textile art together this Weekend Workshop Retreat will be a real treat for crafters.

The weekend will involve;

Saturday

10am - meet at the Eskdale Hotel for Introductions, refreshments and meet the Tarras Valley team.

Then we will go up to the Moor and sketch, photograph and collect inspiring flora and fauna aspects of the Nature Reserve - a packed lunch will be provided.

Back to the Eskdale to design your textile artwork. Workshop will finish at 4pm.

Those that are choosing the residential option will enjoy a three course evening and breakfast on Sunday morning served from 7:30-9am

Sunday

10am - meet with Karen and start turning your design into an Appliqué wall hanging with embroidered surface, incorporating Langholm woven textile to add site specific detail. The work can be displayed in a portrait or landscape aspect. The finished work will be framed using a wooden hanging rail. All materials, lunch and refreshments are included.

Workshop will end at 4pm.
